It is late. You are on the 7th floor of an old danchi — a Japanese public housing block.
The elevator is out. You just want to get outside.

The open-air corridor is long. Doors on one side, the night and the next block on the other. Somewhere halfway, a neighbor always leans on the railing, looking out.
Every floor looks the same. Then, sometimes, it doesn't.
The further you walk, the more you want to look behind you.

If anything is different, turn around and go back up.
If everything is normal, keep going down.

A wrong call sends you back to the top.

The full game is free — play it in your browser above, all the way down and out, with all 16 kinds of changes.
Donations welcome — if you enjoyed it, you can leave a tip when downloading. Totally optional.

I’ve only played the demo, and I have to say that I don't really see a reason to buy the game for $2.99 right now. I'm sorry to say this, but it's way too easy (I had to actively provoke the jumpscare just to get it to happen) and pretty boring. Unfortunately, you can also tell from the graphics that the game was made with AI. I think the staircase idea is awesome, but the game still needs a lot of work and polish before asking money for it. Just my opinion, though. Keep at it and don't give up!"

Thank you so much for playing, for the video, and for the honest feedback. I'm sorry, this was really just an experiment, and you're absolutely right. I've now made the full game completely free. Right now I'm focusing on a new game, "Hajimari no Daichi" (The Land of Beginnings), and Alcadia Online, which continues from it. I hope you'll look forward to my next work!

nice

thank you for playing! i might change the scare tactics!!
